The Youngstown Playhouse partners with DeYor Performing Arts Center for The Color Purple
The Youngstown Playhouse and DeYor Performing Arts Center will return to live theatre with a co-production of The Color Purple. Directed by Trevail Maurice Smith, the production will run September 24–October 3, 2021 at Edward W. Powers Auditorium.

Plans are underway for the first ever “Fore! the Arts” Golf Classic to benefit both Stambaugh Auditorium and the Youngstown Symphony Society which will be held on Friday, July 30 at Youngstown Country Club. The event will begin at 7:30 a.m. and will include a day of golf followed by a cocktail reception, lunch buffet and presentation of prizes.
Stambaugh Auditorium to Host Children’s Summer Arts Camp
The Stambaugh Auditorium Children’s Summer Arts Camp will be held Monday, June 28 thru Friday, July 2 at Stambaugh Auditorium. The purpose of the Arts Camp is to increase children’s access to, knowledge of and appreciation for the arts.
Stambaugh Auditorium Breaks Ground for Monumental Staircase and Facade Restoration Project
At a ceremony held Monday, June 7, 2021, officials from
Stambaugh Auditorium, members of the construction team and elected officials broke ground for a major capital project involving the replacement of the monumental staircase and restoration of the exterior facade of the historic auditorium.
Stambaugh Auditorium to present Award-Winning Organist, Joshua Stafford in Hybrid Format
Stambaugh Auditorium is delighted to announce the return of live organ concerts, beginning with award-winning organist, Joshua Stafford. The Sunday, May 16th concert will be presented at 4:00 PM to a socially distanced audience as well as being live-streamed on the Stambaugh Auditorium “Digital Concert Hall” app.
