Stambaugh Auditorium and DeYor Performing Arts Center Combine Volunteer Programs

Stambaugh Auditorium and DeYor Performing Arts Center have combined their volunteer programs in a continued effort to share resources and increase efficiencies.

Volunteer ushers are essential to ensure the satisfaction of guests at each of the area’s premier historic performing arts facilities. “In our continued effort to share resources and increase efficiencies, it just made sense to combine the volunteer programs as well,” said JoAnn Stock, Chief Development Officer. “Additionally, many of our volunteers already have experience in ushering at both facilities,” Stock added.

Volunteer usher duties include greeting and directing guests to their seats, handing out programs, and answering questions. Requirements include a positive, friendly demeanor and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, busy environment.

A monthly volunteer e-newsletter listing event opportunities is emailed to all volunteers. Volunteers may sign up for volunteer opportunities at either, or both, of the facilities.

New volunteers are always welcome. More information, including duties, requirements, and a volunteer application is available on the Stambaugh Auditorium (www.stambaughauditorium.com) and DeYor Performing Arts Center (www.deyorpac.org) websites. Additional information is also available by calling the Development Office at 330-747-5175.
