Stambaugh Auditorium Commemorates the 100th Anniversary of the First Meeting of the Board of Directors

On Monday, August 3 at 10 a.m., the members of the Board of Directors of the Henry H. Stambaugh Auditorium Association met to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Association’s first board meeting which took place on August 3, 1920. At that time, the original trustees met to begin the process of carrying out the final wishes of Henry H. Stambaugh and to begin planning for the construction of Stambaugh Auditorium which opened in December of 1926.

On May 31st at 4:00 PM, one of America’s leading concert organists, Scott Dettra, will be performing at Stambaugh
Auditorium. Mr. Dettra’s playing is praised for its clarity, rhythmic intensity, and musical elegance, and has been described by The American Organist as “music-making of the absolute authority and sophisticated expression.”
Stambaugh Youth Concert Band presents Spring Concert

The Stambaugh Youth Concert Band will present their spring concert featuring a selected senior soloist and the presentation of the Barbara Armstrong Scholarship award on Tuesday, April 7th at 7:30 PM. The SYCB is comprised of the top high school musicians from Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania.
