YOUNGSTOWN, OH (October 13, 2025): Stambaugh Auditorium is pleased to welcome back the World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra on Tuesday, December 16th, at 7:30 pm. Enjoy the sounds of the holiday season with an evening of music that brings a blend of classic holiday hits, swing, and jazz to the Concert Hall stage. 

The Legendary big band brings their extensive repertoire of hits, along with Christmas Favorites. American musician, arranger, composer, and bandleader, Glenn Miller, is one of the best known names from the swing era. The current Glenn Miller Orchestra was formed in 1956 and has been touring worldwide ever since. Glenn Miller was one of the most successful of all dance bandleaders of the 1930s and 1940s. A matchless string of hit records, the constant impact of radio broadcasts, and the drawing power at theaters, hotels, and dance pavilions built and sustained the momentum of popularity. 

Today, the World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra is an eighteen-member ensemble performing many of the hits from both the original band and the Army Air Force Band, along with modern tunes arranged in the Miller style. 

The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra is “on the road” longer and more continuously than any other in the world, having celebrated it’s 65th year anniversary on June 6, 2021. The band travels over a hundred thousand miles each year, playing over 300 performances across the world.
