A MESSAGE TO OUR PATRONS REGARDING COVID-19

March 19, 2020

The coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak has caused a great deal of change and uncertainty for all. Stambaugh Auditorium is trying to find what we can do to support our mission, our staff and our community. We know that many are facing the possibility of struggle like we have never known before.  Stambaugh Auditorium has been a part of the Youngstown community for nearly 100 years and the Stambaugh name has been a part of this community for much longer.  As we have in the past, we will prevail.

We want you to know that we are doing everything we can to keep some part of Stambaugh Auditorium operating, even if it is only through social media, email, and online services.  Please watch our social media channels for art, entertainment, and information both from Stambaugh Auditorium and our community.

Effective Thursday, March 19, we will no longer be allowing visitors into the building. It is with reduced hours and reduced staff that we remain available via phone and email.

Effective Friday, March 20, phones for the Stambaugh Auditorium administrative office and the Florence and Ward Beecher Box Office will be answered from 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday.  We do expect these hours to be further reduced next week.

All events at Stambaugh Auditorium are postponed or canceled until the ban on gatherings issued by Governor Mike DeWine and other restrictions issued to aid in slowing the spread of COVID-19 are lifted.  We will continue to work to reschedule as many of the events that were / are scheduled to occur during this time.  Due to the unknown length of the situation, specific rescheduling information is not currently available.  We ask for patience as the process of rescheduling will take some time.

If you are a ticket holder of any event canceled due to the COVID-19 situation, please keep your ticket for use when the event is rescheduled.  Refunds will only be issued for events that are not eventually rescheduled.  Ticket holders will be notified by email as information becomes available regarding the status of each specific event.  We will make every effort to share information on our official social media sites and website (stambaughauditorium.com).

We are working to provide as much continuity of service as we can via phone, email, and virtual services.

We have spent the past week cleaning and disinfecting every part of the facility and readying it to be largely unused for an unknown period of time.  We assure you that every effort will be taken to care for this historic building during this shutdown.  We have plans in place for various staff to visit the building as much as possible to ensure the building remains ready for its return to service.

If you need to contact us, please do so only via email or phone.  Please do not visit in person.  Our administrative offices can be reached at 330-747-5175, the Florence and Ward Beecher Box Office can be reached at 330-259-0555, or contact us via email at info@stambaughauditorium.com or boxoffice@stambaughauditorium.com.  We will make every effort to provide updates as the situation evolves and further adjustments become necessary.

We continue to ask that everyone follow the orders and requests of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Ohio Department of Health regarding COVID-19.

Lastly, please remember to support all those in need during this time.  This includes individuals, businesses, medical staff and facilities, non-profits, and of course the local arts industry.  All are in need of every type of support now and will need it long into the future.
