Regulations of use and production:

  • Venue purchaser responsible for house production staff (Rising Sun) fees. Production Staff fees are in addition to the venue usage rates.
  • Any use of the Concert Hall requires the presents of production staff. Total number of production staff necessary to be determined by house production staff.
  • Production and Engineering Staff provided by Rising Sun Entertainment and Productions. Rising Sun may be contacted at 330-729-9024 or www.rsep.net.
  • A minimum of two (2) production staff are required for any activity or use of the concert hall.
  • Any house owed, rented, loaned, barrowed, or leased equipment, materials, and/or items must be set up and operated by house production staff. Some equipment may be operated by other persons under the supervision of the house production staff as long as prior arrangements have been made.
  • No tape other than professional gaffers tape may be used on any surface in the building. Duct tape, masking tape, or any other type of tape other than gaffers tape is NOT permitted for use in Stambaugh Auditorium.
  • Food, drink, and chewing gum are not permitted in the Concert Hall or on the Concert Hall stage. All food and drink must be consumed in one of the lobbies, the Ball Room, or the Dressing Rooms. Bottled water is permitted on the Concert Hall stage for the use of the performers only.

Additional use regulation information.

Stage Information:

  • The facility is a music performance hall built in 1926. The stage is rectangular and widens from upstage to downstage, the stage has natural hardwood floors and 6-inch rake. The concert hall is Indiana limestone with wood paneling on the balcony fronts. Drilling or screwing into the stage floor or concert shell is not
    permitted.
  • The stage contains no masking and minimal wing space. Stage entrances are at stage right and left. The stage also contains a permanent concert shell.
  • Due to Ohio law, indoor pyrotechnics are forbidden.

Stage Dimensions:

  • 46-feet wide back wall
  • 58-feet wide at percinium
  • 39-feet max depth
  • 31-feet height of Proscenium
  • 3 ft. 4 in. height of stage from house floor.
  • 8 ft. 7 in. distance from apron to first row of seats.

Loading Area:

• The loading area is at ground level; there is a loading ramp with a slight decline from the street. The doors are standard 7-foot double doors that access the stage lift from the loading area.

House Curtains and Softgoods:

  • The house curtains include a main curtain that is a manual traveler from stage left, two sets of boarders, two sets of legs, and an up stage drop. The boarders, legs, and drop are available in dark royal blue or black. The house set is bare stage utilizing the concert shell. There is a $300.00 charge for the use of the curtains. This includes the cost of hanging and removing the curtains. 
  • It is suggested for musical performances to use the concert shell without curtains
    to best utilize the acoustics of the concert hall.

  • Lighting Circuits: Strand dimmers located in permanent racks at stage right. Fixture connections available throughout stage and auditorium.

  • Lighting Console
     
    • The lighting console is an Avolites Pearl 2004.

    • The console is typically located house center at the rear An alternate location is available at house right cross aisle.
    • The console is operated by house technicians unless other arrangements are made prior to arrival.
  • Touring Console - Touring lighting consoles are typically located in the same positions as the house console. Both positions offer a clear view of the stage and are supported with ClearCom. There is a DMX dry line available.

    • House Lights:
      • House lights are controlled from both the Strand Architectural
      • Lighting Control System and the Avolites Pearl 2004 Console.
      • Dimmer listing for house lights available for patch to tour console.
  • Rigging:
     
    • Minimal rigging points and equipment available. Contact Rising Sun (330-729-9024) for more information.
    • The stage is NOT equipped to fly scenery, drops, or tour equipment.
  • Sound System and Communications:
     
    • House Sound System:
       
      • FOH Mains contain 2 JBL VRX-918S Subs and 8 JBL VRX-932
      • The FOH mains are flown in two clusters of one 918S and four 932. One cluster house right the other house left.
      • Fills for the balcony, gallery, and under balcony seating are available and consist of JBL Control 25C 6.5'' Surface Speakers, JBL Control 28C 6.5 Flush Speakers, and JBL Control 29AV Surface Speakers all of which are time delayed.

Other Information and Equipment:

  • Assorted mic cables, multi's, adapters, splitters, D.I.s, stands available.
  • Intercom System: A two-channel ClearCom system with 10 hard wired locations and extensions available with 6 belt packs and headsets.
  • Touring Console: Touring consoles are typically located in the same positions as the house console. Both positions offer a clear view of the stage and are supported with ClearCom
  • Piano is a 9 ft. Steinway Model D concert grand purchased Nov. 2007.
  • Stambaugh Auditorium is a smoke free facility. There is to be no smoking in any part of the building in accordance with Chapter 3794 of the Ohio Revised Code.
  • Fog machines and/or any apparatus that produces smoke or smoke like material will require the presence of City Fire Marshals at the leasee expense.
  • There is a black marley style dance floor available for the Concert Hall stage. The floor covers the entire Concert Hall stage from the up stage wall to the edge of the apron.
  • Two dressing rooms are available at stage level, one stage left and one stage right. Three additional smaller dressing rooms are available at ground level along with the orchestra green room, and one large room at the lowest level.
  • No loading, set up, rehearsal, performance, or any other activity is permitted on the Concert Hall Stage without the presence of a house production staff member and/or a representative of management. Please contact the house production staff (Rising Sun) or the Stambaugh Executive Office to schedule stage usage time(s).
